About the role
Reporting to the Security and Emergency Management Supervisor within the Health, Safety and Environment team, this role is required to ensure all emergency response activities are performed in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
Your commitment to operational medical & emergency response readiness is critical. You will work as part of a team, being enthusiastic, passionate and keen to make a difference in the Health and Safety of others as well as driving the right behaviours through leading by example.
A large focus of this role will be to ensure compliance with BHP medical treatment and drug protocols / guidelines. Your emergency services background either within mining or as a professional within the Fire and Rescue / Emergency Medical Services Sector, will be advantageous to the success of this role.

Location
Positions will service a variety of WA Iron Ore operations on a family friendly 8/6 -7/7 roster, days and night shift. A competitive remuneration package will be offered to commensurate with experience, and includes performance incentive and a generous superannuation scheme, as well as other benefits.

About You
- Cert 4 in Health Care Ambulance or equivalent preferred
- Certificate III Mines rescue & Cert III Public Safety preferred
- Drug and Alcohol collection experience preferred but not essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy and familiarity with the MS office suite
- Minimum of C class driver’s license – HR preferable but not essential.
