Patient Transport Officer South Melbourne

Patient Transport Officers-ARV (PTO) are responsible for providing effective & efficient transport of critically ill patients from a referring health service to a suitable destination health service/critical care unit.

Working as a member of the ARV team, Patient Transport Officers provide high quality and appropriate assistance in the administration of clinical care in accordance with individual patient needs as a patient carer in the PTO role as well as providing administrative and call taking assistance as required.

Adult Retrieval Victoria (ARV) is part of Ambulance Victoria (AV) and provides state-wide clinical coordination, retrieval and critical care services, including Major Trauma transfers. ARV is currently seeking applications from qualified Patient Transport Officers to fill a number of casual positions located in and around South Melbourne, Victoria.

 

To apply for this position applicants must hold a minimum of any of the following qualifications:

  • Certificate 3 in Health Science (Non-Emergency Patient Transport)
  • Alternative Ambulance qualifications
  • Qualified Ambulance Paramedic
  • Diploma of Ambulance Paramedic Science
  • Bachelor of Health Science – Paramedic degree
  • ARV equipment and hold a current full Victorian Drivers License

The successful applicants will be required to pass a medical and physical fitness assessment as determined by Ambulance Victoria.

  • Certified copy of your relevant qualification(s)
