Hiring: Casual Patient Transport Officers in Perth
St. John Ambulance WA caters to pre-booked and on demand calls for medical transport services, is looking for a casual patient transport officer to add to their existing roster of health care team. Patient Transport Officers are tasked to render transport service to high-risk and low risk patients in non-emergency settings.
During these non-emergency settings, casual patient transport officers are expected to perform routine medical transport care protocols for patients. These patients can come from private or public institutions.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- Unrestricted ‘C’ or ‘CA’ driver’s licence with no more than 6 demerit points
- Completed Provide First Aid HLTAID003 within the last 12 months
For those who completed Provide First Aid HLTAID003 beyond 12 months but within a 3 year period during application, can provide an HLTAID001 Certificate – Provide CPR or confirmation of booking in support of their application.

Successful applicants need to attend and complete a full Patient Transport Officer training program. It will start on 13th of November 2017 and up to 3rd of December 2017. Successful applicants are also required to complete driver training and mentoring shifts.
