An employer of choice, One Key Resources employs Open Cut and Underground Operators, Tradespeople and Support Staff at close to 100 locations across Australia.

One Key Resources are seeking a Health and Safety Specialist for a new and exciting opportunity at a Bowen Basin Mine Site. Client is a Tier 1 Mining House who requires a skilled, experienced and safety minded individual for a fantastic opportunity to join their Health and Safety Department.

The purpose of this position is to provide current site employees with Health and Safety information and advice and administer requirements of the Health and Safety management systems.

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a Safety, Health and/or Training department
  • Exposure working in either mining or heavy industries
  • Knowledge of Coal Mining Safety and Health Act Regulations
  • Experience coordinating Emergency Response teams and associated activities
  • Experience with risk assessments, incident investigations and occupation hygiene programs
  • High attention to detail

The qualifications/certifications required include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Approved Lead ICAM Facilitator
  • Chemical/Hazardous substances and/or Dangerous Goods course
  • Current S1, S2 and S3
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Current Standard 11
  • Current Coal Board Medical
