Full Time Deployment Officer Job Goulburn NSW Ambulance
NSW Ambulance, a leading provider of health care and transport services in NSW, is in need of a Deployment Officer in Goulburn.
The chosen candidate will support the Deputy Director Operations by coordinating strategic and operational planning and implementing processes to ensure the necessary resourcing and infrastructure exists within the sector for dynamic and proactive management.
The position provides an interface between corporate, operational and community functions.
Employment Conditions:
- The successful applicant will be classified as a ‘Day Worker’ as defined in Clause 4 Definitions of the Operational Ambulance Officers (State) Award.
- The successful application may be required to work at other locations should the need arise.
- The successful applicant will be required take up residence in Goulburn or live within commutable distance to the station.
- The successful applicant will be required to maintain a Certificate to Practice.
- The successful applicant will be required to carry out general ambulance duties.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a satisfactory conduct and services check, which includes referee/supervisor check, a review of sick leave, review of service check register, ability to undertake full duties of the position and clearances from the Professional Standards Unit, Ambulance Education Centre and Infection Control.
- An eligibility list may be created for future vacancies.
- No Ambulance accommodation is provided.
- No entitlement to Transferred Employees Benefits (TEB).

Requirements & Qualifications:
- Applicants must as a minimum hold the Certificate to Practice relevant to the position.
- Proven knowledge of Ambulance Service operational legislation, clinical policies, practices and protocols together with extensive knowledge in the application of the Operational Ambulance Officers (State) Award in relation to operational and workforce requirements.
- Excellent administrative, computer, organisational, problem solving and decision making skills and the ability to meet competing demands in a high volume work environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to liaise with a range of people internal and external to NSW Ambulance.
- A knowledge and understanding of the geographical issues and limitations that affect rostering/relief capabilities in a rural setting.
- Experience in the analysis, interpretation and reporting of management information and data.
- Ability to contribute to the development and implementation of financial, human resource and operational policies, procedures and programs.
- Demonstrated people management skills, including providing staff support, staff development, performance management and the early identification of unacceptable workplace behaviours and taking appropriate action such as investigation, resolution and monitoring of harassment and bullying, grievance issues and conflict resolution.
