Full-time Ambulance Paramedic jobs – ACT Canberra

The Australian Capital Territory health department is searching for a full-time paramedic ambulance staff for its ACT Ambulance Service.

This paramedic job Canberra involves shift-work, including public holidays and weekends. Salaries for ACT paramedics can range from $70,647 – $79,475 with penalties. Relocation help is available for suitable candidates.

The position also contains a salary package with fringe benefits tax-free limited to $9,095.00.

ACT Ambulance Service provides ambulance service and Intensive Care Paramedics for people living in ACT and south eastern New South Wales.

Ambulance services include emergency, non-emergency, and aeromedical emergency service.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification is the Diploma in Paramedical Science
  • Up to date valid driver’s license
  • Must be registered under Working with Vulnerable People Act 2011

Additional

  • Preferably with 12 months or 1 year minimum of work experience as an ambulance paramedic.
  • Able to work independently or under minimal supervision.
  • Possesses good interpersonal skills and sound work ethics.
  • Able to work in any sized team oriented environment.
  • Can speak well and has good written communication.
  • You must be able to use a computer and can do basic documentation tasks.
  • Has initiative to work and seek out opportunities for ongoing personal and professional growth.
  • Exercises sound clinical judgment in any emergency situation.
