Thales Australia, a maritime business that offers ship repair services, maintenance and asset management / in-service support capabilities for commercial and naval ships in Australia, is seeking response team member for their Garden Island location.

The chosen candidate Response Team Member Job Garden Island Thales Australia will fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Focused response related activities conducted within tanks, pits, voids and confined spaces
  • Assist in assessing risks, readying rescue equipment and planning practical and effective solutions towards safe working practices in compliance with Thales standards.
  • In cases of accidents, locating the patient, assessing any injuries, packaging for extrication, removing patient from the threatening environment and turns over to EMS for medical attention and transport.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience within a Confined Space and Emergency Response role
  • Training in high risk activities such as working at heights, confined space and rescue training
  • Record data as required in a written report
  • Ensure Thales OH&S Regulations are carried out on the job
  • Knowledge of Fire Suppression and Fire Extinguisher usage
  • Must be an Australian Citizen to be eligible for a Defence Security Clearance and to access information covered by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
